Just a small idea / question that popped in my mind. Will there be a Byrd folders with a handle out of full FRN?! This sure will be a nice option and add to the already big variety.

Any idea's for the wishful FRN Byrd configuration are also welcome.

only ones I know of are the Finch and Starling (keychain sized ones).... the larger models have steel liners for strength and 4 way clip mounting capability

a FRN handle Byrd with a ‘clip point’ full-flat (or saber/hollow-grind) blade the size just between the Cara-Cara and Meadowlark would be more then welcome by me. I would like it to be a bit longer but just as wide as my Native SE . With a CE (or optional PE) for daily cary and all round tasks. So the lightweight package is always and ever (i mean ALWAYS and EVER) in my pocket on the water, camping trip, jungle tour, urban or where ever!

I was very surprised when I opened my first G-10 Flight - it feels roughly 50% lighter than G-10 Cara Cara, with comparable blade (cutting edge) length and better ergonomics when opened (it has few odd bumps and sharp corners when closed).

Perhaps you should give it a try ? It's not flat ground but it handles much better than Cara Cara in my opinion. Now a flat-ground Flight with G-10 handle would be something ... Tenacious with back lock :)
