Any good free CAD like programs for knife designs?

I remember seeing a program where you can free hand the drawing and the program would make it all neat and perfect, does anyone know a program like this? I guess right now any program would be nice, just let me know what programs you guys use.
 
I'k kind of embarrassed to mention it, but I draw in MS Word and transfer to steel. Its not CAD, so its not importable to a CNC machine, but its convenient.

I draw mine, refine , and use. On the other hand, I'm lost on that computer assist stuff.

I've been using inkscape for 2d models of my folders. It's working fine. Although I'm starting to think maybe I should switch to a more common CAD program. I have aspirations of some day owning a CNC mill (probably never going to happen) and feel like my time spent learning inkscape probably wont translate well into the CAD/CAM world.
 
I use google sketchup. It is full 3D and pretty easy to use. A lot of you tube videos explaining its use as well.
