Any good hollow handle knives?

On the value side of the spectrum, the Schrade SCHF1SM and SCHFF1. Run about $50-60 and the reviews on them are excellent. The SCHF1SM is on my purchase list, I don't like the F1 with partially serrated blade. 1070 High Carbon steel, one piece construction.

Schf1sm is my go to fixed blade, I can't say enough good things about it. The sheath is somewhat cheaply made but still serviceable, but for the price it is an incredible value.

What made now I'm not sure. If made well then a hollow handle knife can be made as tough as any knife.

My Chris Reeve Project II gave me 15 years hard service and never failed. Did everything asked of it. Plenty of luck built into it and still going strong. Of four CRK hollow handle knives that I know of all are doing fine.
I don't know of any that have failed in normal use, but maybe somewhere out there one might have run out of luck. Destruction tests are pretty meaningless, but then I've never required using a club hammer on any of my knives.

Anyone broken a $10 pry bar? On blades quality steel can either be heat treated to be hard and brittle or softer and springy. Differential heat treatment has mixed results and for some blades it works and some it doesn't. Finally design, where some designs are a weak point and some a help. A well made knife is just that, depends what you want to do with it.

I'm a fan of hollow handled knives, but in truth the storage space is pretty limiting.
