Any good slicers (thin blade) for under $300?

I don't know if it has been mentioned before but the Spyderco Bow River is a full flat thin blade knife... that is also cheap (compared with all the other suggestions here). I bought one when I first found about it and it was certainly cheaper than they are now, but they are still a lot less money.

I am more a Kydex than Leather sheath guy but... the stock leather sheath works just fine.

Also this.

I've got the Vaquero.... it's like a laser.

And the sheaths are truly great.
I was going to recommend the same thing. I don't have one, yet. I will someday.

Thank you for reminding me of one of my failures. Jerk! Thank you!

(Haha)

And yes, don't remind me that I haven't a Winkler in my collection yet either.
Thank you gentlemen!

Second those who mention Bladeforums regulars. You may also want to check out DCC (Deep Cuts Cutlery) - he does some awesome stuff.

I preordered a 4" BRKT Kephart, for exactly this reason.

I've been EDCing the Mini Kephart for years now. Excellent all-round knife, lightweight thanks to the thin stock. Front pocket carry, mostly.

Mine is ~0.11 inches thick at the spine, which I don’t consider to be too thick, and with the full flat grind it ends up very thin behind the edge.

That's interesting. Most places have the blade thickness for the Guardian 3 listed at either 0.14" or 0.15". All the Guardian 3 versions I see on Bradford's website list 0.14".

I don't have a Guardian 3 but I just measured my 3.5 at 0.15".

I wonder if its different for the full flat grind or something, I also bought it over two years ago now so perhaps they changed the thickness over that time.

I would recommend the Overland by TJ Schwartz : the size of the tang is 0.140" with magnacut steel, and it looks perfect for food prep and general bushcraft. Unfortunately, there is a wait time of maybe a month ?
