Any guesses who might be replacing Dave Canterbury on the Dual Survival series ?

I didn't know Dave was leaving the show . That's to bad . Anybody know why ?

All- I wanted to say Congratulations to the Crew of Dual Survival in the announcment of Season 3, however with that said I will not be involved in Season 3.
I have many commitments to Family and Buisness and many more months away from home and family is just not my wish at the present time.
My current goals are more based on Pathfinder School Activities. I am sure Discovery has found a suitable replacement and I look forward to watching.

From The Pathfinder School facebook page.

That's a bummer, yet I can understand his reasons.

Maybe Les Stroud ?

Les Stroud and Cody Lundin are too similar in ideals and temperament. I don't think that would be dramatic enough to make a good t.v. show.
That being said, I hope it is, because they have a lot of knowledge to share.

They are going with a more military background person.

Hopefully someone who didn't outright lie about their military background like Canterbury did. Can't believe that guy made it on tv in the first place.

Cody should have his own show, it'd on par with Les's stuff I think, meaning I'd actually watch it.

Boy I sure hope it ain't Bear Grylls:thumbdn:
I had no idea Dave was leaving either, sometimes he bugs me on the show, but he's great at what he does and has a lot of knowledge.

I actually hope it's Bear Grylls so we can watch Cody eat him the first time they run out of food. :barf:

I thought Cody's Facebook remark about the new guy being a 'genuine' military hero was a direct jab at Dave. There's bad blood between these two.

Rumor is that it's Mykel Hawke
I certainly wont be watching it if so. I watched him as a guest survival instructor on the Travel channel's "Bizzare Foods" It took him over an hour to start a fire with a ferro rod in a Baja Mexico {dry, dry} environment!--The survival show with him and the blonde was a pure joke! I'd feel safer taking one of my kids into the woods with me!--KV

Not sure if Dan Stanchfield (Tracker Dan) has any desire to do television. He certainly has the abilities and is a spec ops guy.

Perhaps Bear Grylls, Mykel Hawke and Les Stroud can battle it out for the chance? Yep, thats' what I would do, and film it too. There be some good viewin' y'all!

If it were Greg Davenport, I'd watch.
