Hi guys,

Was wondering what everyone thinks about guys carrying pink knives.

I am thinking about the spyderco endura and RAT Cutlery Izula in Pink

I'm very seriously thinking about getting an Izula in pink as well. A fella's got to have bolshy yarbles to carry a pink knife!

Pink wouldn't be my first choice, but If I was in a hurry to get a specific knife, and my dealer had only pink ones left, I'd have no problem carrying a pink knife as it would cut just as good as a black one.

I EDC my Pink Izula and my Pink PT. I mean "Tactical Pink". They get a lot of compliments.

Although I personally never would, its not a bad idea. Whip it out to cut something in front of a bunch of women at work who would normally freak out and they would probably want to hold it instead. (wow, that sounded vaguely dirty) This is one of the reasons I used to carry my Key Lime Case Peanut. Bladeart currently has a pink handled Strider http://www.bladeart.com/artists/strider/strider.htm I personally would like to get my wife the pink Delica.

I have the Breast Cancer Awareness Benchmade Griptilian and Spyderco Native. In October, which is BC awareness month, I'll swap around each for the month, in honor of the daughter of a good friend, that lost his daughter at 34 to breast cancer.

And yeah, they probably get more comments if seen in public, than any pocketknives I own, but each encounter gives me a chance to not only draw attention to their cause, but it's good PR IMO for knife companies and users.

Not on purpose, but I bought this BRKT Canadian Sportsman II in Scarlet and Black Elder Burl.

Now Scarlet means red to me, but I had to concede that it is more pink in tone than red.

Doesn't matter though, it is an impressive knife and I fully intend to use it... pink or not.

No disrespect to anyone who does, but I couldn't bring myself to do it even if forced. Call it stupid, call it insecure.

I like the big, tough, tactical looking knives - camo, stripes, black / green - you get the picture. The way I figure it, I'm going to get a reaction if I take a knife out in public - so why not go for the biggest reaction you can get?:D

The other problem - I'd have to fight my wife for it.

I envy you that can carry the pink ones.

If it was that scarlet color that dag-nabit has I would in a heartbeat.

If they made a pink 710 and it had high speed steel or something special like that (m4, s90v, zdp-189) and it was like the mini grip pink I would too.

I dont know if I could handle the pink on that native though. and thats not anything other than its way too intense for my liking.

While were at it, would anyone carry a knife in this color? because I know I would:

One of my aunts & two of our friends have survived breast cancer, and I decided that when I buy either a Griptillian or Endura I'd get it in pink. If nothing else, it'll be an interesting conversation starter. :)

thx - cpr

I love pink knives because they are non threatening . Plus a pink knife always gets a funny comment or ridicule. I have carried a pink Endura, pink Delica and pink mini griptilian.

Plus I like pink. I don't care about homophobes. the infeminet or latent hillbillies. If you really care what other people think or are unsure of your sexuality then maybe you should'nt get a pink knife..

If you drive a huge lifted 4 wheel truck, a pink knife is also not for you.

Pink knife might be good if you need to use it in public. Might be
less intimidating to some people. I dunno, just a guess.
