Any Hammer ins in MI or OH

Hey I would love to get together with some experienced bladesmiths and learn things but none of these hammer ins are within my tim fram are there any in MI or northern Ohio?
 
I'll be there, hopefully I can get my comp knife done by then ;). What part of Ohio are you in?

Hey...I am in Troy....just down 75, about 20 mi N of Dayton.

Maybe we should have a mini hammer in!

I have some long time friends who just moved to Maumee.
 
Greg, I went to school in Cincinnati. I drive through Troy everytime on my way down :). An Ohio hammer in would be sweet ;)!
 
Hey Guys I am in Canada. I have a friennd who is operating a forge set up near Durand MI at an old historical site. I actually live 45 Min from the Detroit Windsor Border I wil try and make the event in MI but if I talk to my friend at the historical site maybe we can organize a "Hammer IN " there. What do you guys thing?
 
If anybody manages to get something going in OH or MI please let me know, I would help in any way I could if it can fit into my schedule. For years I have bemoaned the fact that "great lakes" smiths can't seem to communicate and organize like other areas of the country. We have some great talent around this area, we should gather it together and let it shine.
 
I live in Columbus Ohio, if any other smiths do too or are passing through I wouldn't mind a get together. Just have to have good weather since I work outside. My e-mail should be up to date in my profile.
 
That Scagel event is probably a 30-45 minute drive for me, tops. Unfortunately we have plans made months in advance every time it rolls around. :(
 
Ok sounds like its a gl idea wise any way anyone want to contact me put your self on a list i will try my best to organize one I will meet with my buddy this week and we will discuss it. Please anyone who has done one before let me know what is needed.
