Any have the new Benchmade Vex?

I like mine. If I hadn't known where it was made, I wouldn't have assumed it was China. Fit and finish are very good.

Locks up solid with no blade slop in either axis, but I hope that the steel at the mating point between the blade and lock don't wear much - The fairly thin blade doesn't leave much room for the lock to travel and not go off of the other side of the blade if it happens to "wear in" or deform too much. Time will tell.

Two of the six screws that hold the scales on were a little loose (Like 1/2 a turn) when I got mine. Easy fix.

They could have done with a bit larger radius around the periphery of the scales to make them a little less slab-sided. I'm going to sand on mine a bit to make the radius larger.

The hole is a little low on the blade compared to most Spiderco's so is harder to get a good purchase with my (Rather large) thumb without interference between thumb and scales (Again, a larger radius at the front end of the scales will help).

Other than the above minor concerns, I think it's a heck of a deal. A little clunky, (.520" thick) and heavy for my taste in a pocket knife, but a good tool for around the shop or to toss in with the camping gear. I certainly won't care if it gets scratched or dinged up...

I like mine. I prefer an ovel hole. The hole location is just a bit "short" of where I'd like it. I'd also like a satin or stone wash finish. Picky, picky!:D
Great knife for the money. It's the only Chinese knife I own. The knife feels like an Emerson but the liner lock is thicker.
