Any idea what steel these are made of? Jaws of life blades!

Got a link to those blades? Thanks!

Found it:
Goog " M40 Wilderness Store " They'll be on the bottom half of one of the store pages -- M40's SLIMLINE SURVIVAL BLADES.

I found these a while back and think they are very cool and can probably fine-dice molecules. Never plugged them in BF before that I remember....

Maybe someone can convince him to become a member here. I think he'd do a ton.

......I wouldn't expect those jaws to be the best knife blade steel, however. Their use is so vastly different than a knife. They need to be incredibly tough, fracture-resistant, and ductile. Unlike a knife, I doubt wear resistance or edge retention is high on the priority list. They would surely still work with a poor edge. They are hydraulically driven after all.

I'd think JOL would be 80% push-cut....? or more.... Not much slicing required here.

Followed a truck today - fire stuff.I thought about asking the driver as one of the names shown was HURST.But a driver would never know , LOL !
