Hey I was looking at ag russells website and saw fox knives roman legion axe. I like it and think it would make a good utility tool. For shelter building, quartering game and with the head shape almost ulu like would be good for skinning and food processing. Does anyone have one how is it, is it effective, is the steel good any chipping out when hitting knots or hard woods?

FOX is good stuff. I wouldn't worry about their quality.

You might be interested in the Roselli hatchet aswell.

I had one of these for several years and enjoyed it for specific purposes. It could be sharpened scary sharp and was great for slicing chores. Chopping...not so much

The blade is thin and brittle. It works well for trimming limbs & butchering game, but not for heavy chopping where knots would be present and not for chopping thru bones. The blade will chip easily when challenged.
