I get the feeling they aren't marketing their knives to educated knife people but to gun people who are willing to pay them $600 for a light-grip-pressure switch combo for their AR, and think it would be cool to have a matching knife.

You are exactly right I saw it advertised in the latest American Rifleman magazine.

Street price seems to be about $180 ... I thought it looked cool too until I saw the sticker price! A $100 light weight, highspeed leatherman seems to be a way better deal, and more functionality on a $30 SAK...
