Any interest in a RAT hawk?

So I was wondering if there is any interest in a RAT cutlery tomahawk? I have been expanding my sharp object fascination, and really like the multiple uses of a good hawk. I personally prefer an RC-4 or 6 coupled with a hawk for chopping and I also see it as a better self defense tool if need be. I know that there are lots of options for tomahawks, but RATs are such great knives, I pretty sure it go over very well.

I also know that the interest needs to come from RAT as well. Jeff and Mike are the guys that make everything happen, so I guess all we can do is express our interest in such a project, and hope they like it enough to make it happen.

Just something I was thinking about. What do you guys think?

I'm just starting to have an interest in hawks and I can't think of a better way that I'd like to start.

I think that's a great idea. I'd be in for one. I've been seriously considering buying a SRKW Crash Rat, but a RC-AXE would be wicked!

There was a thread a ways back that revolved around this idea, but I think that Jeff decided that the interest level was only sufficient to make it a back-burner project. He later went to reveal the RAT machete project. :)

I can understand that. Maybe things will change and we can drum up more interest. You know what they say "build it, and RAT packers will buy it!" Ha!

I guess if we keep bringing it up, Jeff will either build it or tell us to knock it off already. You know, in that really stern typing tone he uses.:D

I would be interested in a RAT HAWK if the design was not too radical, maybe traditional hawk head with a metal handle and slab grips.

We talked about it and even started to go forward but it died on the vine. Right now we're doing our best to get a couple of new projects out and I doubt we will even consider this until the RC-10, clip point knives, Izula handles, Imacasa machete, stainless steel version of the RC-3, and the folder is out. In fact, anything new is off the burner until all of these projects are shipping and we have production.

I guess I need several other jobs and a time machine to work them all,
or win a lottery or something ...

I want to buy all that stuff ... (with the possible exception of the stainless RC-3)

Makes sense to me! If you load the boat too deep it might sink! :D

You guys have a lot on your plate right now. Take your time! (with everything, not just the 'hawk idea):thumbup:

i dont know about a hawk, but a RAT camp axe would be pretty sweet, although in the meantime all the new products sound great

ROTFLMAO

I fell off the couch!:D

I would love to have a RAT Cutlery Hawk if one ever came to light. :)

Huh. I thought stainless steel was a generic name for a category of steel, such as VG-10, S30V, etc that are, well, stainless. I was asking what steel was being used, but perhaps I wasn't clear?...
