Any interest in a RAT hawk?

Ok, now that's I've been a smart ass, we will probably go with the common but good steel, 440C

I'd totally carry a tactical pink hawk while backpacking. Then people would laugh at me. Then I'd lop their friggin heads off. Jerks.

We talked about it and even started to go forward but it died on the vine. Right now we're doing our best to get a couple of new projects out and I doubt we will even consider this until the RC-10, clip point knives, Izula handles, Imacasa machete, stainless steel version of the RC-3, and the folder is out. In fact, anything new is off the burner until all of these projects are shipping and we have production.

WOW! A tonne of great stuff to come out the RAT's nest. can't wait for it all to come out. I can understand why nothing new would be added.

Just future planning:D

Take your time, do it right. Make sure you are keeping the fundamentals of your company in the big picture.

I'm just gonna sit here drooling for a bit. All very cool and exciting products in the pipeline. And long down the road if something does hit the pipeline, I'd go for a camp axe over a hawk.

There was a thread a ways back that revolved around this idea, but I think that Jeff decided that the interest level was only sufficient to make it a back-burner project. He later went to reveal the RAT machete project. :)

Hey Thanks Forty I too was thinking about a Hawk;) Would be nice Here in Maine a Machete :thumbdn: A Great Hawk:thumbup:

I don't know...I'm more of a machete guy myself! Have you tried a good quality one (read: Condor) in the woods yet? Works great actually! :D

It's kind of a soapbox issue of mine. :p

Any plans for a bare-steel 440C Izula down the line? More eager go see what a RAT hawk would look like, but a stainless Izula is also fascinating.

Gotcha' :D Never been much of a thrower myself, though. Different strokes for different folks, right?

I enjoy throwing although it's been a while since I've done it. Got some Hibben throwers that work really well.

I'm a patient man, take as long as you need :D

Oh, I forgot to mention--I'm great at throwing! Getting things to go where I want them to is another matter entirely! :foot:

People come into the shop sometimes and look at the throwing knives--and then ask me if I'm good at throwing. I always tell them "That's easy! Just move your arm forward really fast and let go!" :D:thumbup:
