The balance point is at the first set of pins.

If you have anymore of that burl at your quoted price I'll take it, fabulous stuff, and the knife is great too!!

S t o pppppppppppppppppppppppppp....... you are killing me Wayne..... :D

Absolutely beautiful !!!!!!

Wayne.

Must be the 2nd slut you have for Ironwood. Only you must find me a scale like the one you show on this knife. The one you pick will be for an old man's 50th B-day. That's what my students tell me. 8-10 inch blade will be my 7th blade from you with 5 of them ironwood.

Great looking knife only wish it was longer

Wayne, I don't blame you for not letting them go, I wouldn't either. Whoever you are making that damascus blade for should be jumping for joy when he wrapps his hands around that one.
Have to say I love the look of those 1/16 pins you used too, very classy.

Hey Mr. Tom - Remember, we're within days of being the same age although at times I feel like I'll be turning 80 instead of 50 this August. I'd be tickled to death to make you a knife for your 50th. Just let me know when you want to proceed. :)

Joe - thanks a bunch buddy for the kind words once again. If you want to see the Devin Thomas Damascus knife finished, you can see it on my forum over at Knifedogs.com at this link. Lots of pictures on that post. Now it's ready to head down to Paul Long for some pants and then off to Coop for it's class pictures. Let me know what you think. Take care and God Bless.

Lastly - it seems that I derailed my own "for sale" thread on the Palaver above. I'd love to hear what you folks think about the knife for sale on this thread. Thanks.

Wayne,
Beautiful work as usual, & like everybody else I'm a sucker for ironwood & I don't think I've ever seen any as striking & radiant as those scales on this piece! WOW!

Thanks Jerry - I appreciate it. Too bad that IW scales like this are going up so drastically in price. I love it too but I fear that it will just incite more poaching in the SW and Mexico. Take care and God Bless.

That is a special knife to be proud of, both for the maker and the new owner.

Mike - I appreciate the comment my friend. The burl just pops on both of these pieces.

And remember folks, the one in O1 Tool steel at the top of the post is the one for sale right here.

Take care and God bless.

FYI - I removed the pics of the Damascus version as it detracted from the one for sale. You can still view it from a link in a post above. Thanks.
