I have a parang and a couple knife designs I'd like to grind out. Unfortunately I only have a little 1" harbor freight piece of crap. Eventually I'd like to purchase a good 72" grinder but for now I'm hoping to find someone that would let me borrow theirs for a few hours.
Are there any knife makers in Utah near Salt Lake or Utah county that would let me rent time on their grinder one of these Saturdays?
I got to try out a really nice grinder at a custom knife shop. I could do more in 5 minutes with that grinder than I could do in 2 hours on my harbor freight. I just can't bring myself to try and grind a knife on it having experienced the bliss that is proper equipment.
