Hi,

I may be visiting New York city and the New Jersey and Pennsylvania area, are there any knife stores like New Graham? To visit the actual New Graham is a bit too far for me.

Tools for working wood seems good but their Norton waterstones are quite pricey.

Thanks in advance

Here's a list of shops recently recommended. There may be more. NYC is not particularly knife-friendly. Rents are high and regulations can be intimidating.

Nevertheless, what we've got is good. Mastersmiths is new, and a group of our guys stopped by last Saturday and really liked the place. ( Anyone Been to Mastersmiths in NYC? )

Mastersmiths is on East 58th street. #403
Their site is www.beautifulblades.com

There is also Paragon sporting goods downtown but they are pricey.

In Greenwich, CT there is Eurochasse. He has some higher prices but a wide selection and some rarities.

Beat me to it Esav.

It is convient to NJ,I forgot the name of the highway that runs from NJ right on up to his shop though.

I just checked the map and it looks like it is Route 23, strangely enough -- that's the road that runs right by Pompton Plains, a few blocks from where I live. I hadn't realized it turned up that way. :)
