Any knives like these examples?

Second from the bottom looks like what he described

Yep, but the handle goes more straight after it angles up.

Crudely drawn, slightly exaggerated for effect, but the general idea is there.

As you said there are culinary knives like that.

Curious what you don’t like about them? I’m guessing thickness? There is no rule against having a sheath made for a kitchen knife and putting it on your belt

Also how do you plan on using said knife? .

Yes. Thickness. I want it nice and thick. And I do want the edge ever so slightly curved. I want it to be wharncliffe style, but not quite straight. Like in the examples.

Outdoorsy stuff. I don't exactly intend to baton with it but I want it robust enough to be able to survive batoning.

You don't have a good registration for your thumb?

Remember the knife edge surface is kinda a pivot side to side.
Further from the center of rotation, and all That

I really like Tall knives. So many of the knives I design are Tall.... But, your cutting can feel torquey if it's Too Tall. I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well? I'm having a beer now.....

Thanks to everyone who was helpful by posting suggestions and pictures of similar knives. I appreciate it. It was all useful in giving me a better idea of what is out there, and helping me think a little about why the handles are shaped the way they are. 👍

Another, like I said I like them tall too....

Beefy is going to be where you might have a difficult time finding a knife?

This one is AEB-L at a spine thickness of approx .165" that's pretty thick (for me) I like thinner sliccers normally

Big, thick knives cut for Crap, usually.

*I hope you find what you are looking for.
Chasing it is sometimes the fun part

Bastinelli also likes that style somewhat. He's used on the Dragotec line from Fox, and a few other things.

Yep. Immediately thought of him, see post #5 and here the same knife with a larger fixed sister:

There is also Demko of course, but with a flat spine / handle:

This one has more belly, but maybe still counts ?
