Most I found were slipjoints or liner locking. I would like a lock back in a very good carbon steel. Do you know of any?

Mission Knives and Tools makes a couple folders in A2. The are pricey, but top of the line.

boker makes a lockback hunter similar in appearance to the buck 112 ranger it has a carbon steel blade..it's on my list

Kershaw has a few new composite blade folders that have D2 cutting edge fused to a strong stainless spine. Most of them are framelocks and AOs. The JunkYard Dog II can be purchased for ~70$ and is a workhorse.

There are a bunch of benchmade's in D2 but they aren't lockbacks....
all axis and liner locks.

guys, isnt D2 stainless?

I always thought it was. If itwasnt, Why is it a bi@#@# to sharpen?

D-2 is stainless or at least semi-stainless, depending on what your definition of stainless is. It's actually a chromium cold work die tool steel !

I thought D2 was still considered carbon steel but with enough chromium to be right on the cusp of being stainless. You probably said it right......it depends on your definition of stainless.

You can still get a few in 1095 (not high end carbon - just high quality). Cumberland had a special run of queen's Mountain man in 1095 I believe.
