Any Lone Wolf Knife owners out there...

Hey JPD1998, where can I find one of those loveless folders with that style blade? I cruised all my favorite sites and could not find it anywhere.

I like it too so looked on the Lone Wold home page. Looks like they don't make it anymore.

I love my Harsey T2 so much I bought a second......just in case anything happens to the first.........and, of course, I had to get one in wood. I only wish it could be my EDC, but that's not possible where I work, DC. The only knives I've found that equal it are my CQC-7A and my amazing RAT 1.

I have two Harsey T2 Rangers and one Harsey T3 Ranger. All are NIB.
They fit my hands perfectly. Like them so much that I want to keep them in new
condition. I have to get over this and start using them.

Get a T1 (I have a T1 and a T2), take the clip off and just carry it in your pocket. The blade isn't any longer the a large SAK. Just an idea.

Hell yes....use them !!!! You think you like them now, get some scratches on them and see how much more you like them. Sure, I have a few knives that are still NIB but most of my over 100 knives have been used. To me its part of the hobby. I use them for everything from camping to cooking dinner, from opening packages to whittling, from working in the yard to practicing edged weapons tactics (often one of the training knives). I even keep a half dozen knive next to my recliner (my wife is cool about it). Helps me relax to play with them.

Cheers...

I think when it comes bringing a knife to work in DC, I'll be looking for an Emerson CQC 14. Small and non threatening blade :) .

Because of this thread, I went online and did a quick search on Lone Wolf knives.

WOW

I had never even heard of Lone Wolf before, but now I'm ready to pick up a Harsey T-2 cocobolo and Harsey T-1 with rosewood.

Thanks to you guys, this had made me officially broke :D

I've got a Double Duty and a Paul Presto.

The Paul knives are pretty cool, but lockup isn't perfect. Nice little dress nice, but nothing heavy duty.

I love my Double Duty but it does have one small issue. The last 16th of an inch or so gets hit by the spring when you fire it. This has caused the small portion of the blade to flatten and the blade is also cutting into the spring.

I've contacted my dealer and he said that all of his Double Duties have this problem. Curious if any other Double Duty owner is having this problem as well or if this is a bad run from Lone Wolf.

That being said, I love all the other aspects of this knife and am interested in a Lobo, which I've been assured does not have this same problem.

Ludwig, you'll love them. Just to mention, I've never purchased a knife in cocobola that felt so ergonomically perfect. You might want to look into that RAT 1 folder also. Similar in feel, aesthetics and unbelievably smooth opening and closing. There's nothing quite like them.

That's the beauty of knives. No one knife can satisfy everyone. I own both of your favorite knives, the Spyderco Endura 4 and Spyderco Pacific Salt. I use the Pacific Salt for kayaking. There's no better knife for the task. However, I would never use it personally for my EDC. The Endura is a great knife that can certainly "get the job done." Many would prefer getting the job done with a much smoother, more ergonomic and yes....much more expensive knife like the Harsey. To each his own. The one thing I can honestly say about Harsey knives is that they are not overrated. You would have to own one to understand why. Hey.......a Corvair will get you to work, but a Lexus SC 07 will get you to work with a bigger smile on your face :) .

That's the problem, I can't bear to get any scratches on the blades.

Personally, I think they're way over-rated and way over-priced.

As "PSB" stated, you have to own one to see that they are definitely NOT overrated. They are a bit pricey though, but built as solid as the proverbial brick sh_t house.

I just bought a Lone Wolf D2 Harsey double action today at a knife show...saw two knife guys trading NIB Knives back and forth, saw this new Lone Wolf there and jumped right in. My Price? Oh yeah, this is where the story gets good..$125 cash money. 4 inch S30V blade and built like a tank. Press down on the hidden scale (sweet spot) and that leaf spring kicks that blade out like it's owed money.I wouldnt want any body part in the way of the business end of that as it is kicked out Whackka!
