Any Love For Spyderco Bow River?

I'm convinced, ordered today. Reminds me of an ESEE HM. I think it would make a good camp food-prep tool.

I think you will love it.. To me this one is a home run at the price point. Great kitchen steak knife set in the making, and I love the new color of the handles. I smile every time I use it!

For Pete's sake do we need to have this conversation every single time a knife is made in China? Politics be gone! Do you have experience with the knife or not?

Yes, yes we do.

I've held one. Great ergos and like I said, wonderful design. Think the blade could be a tad longer, but that's me.

Then say that, no one wants to hear your diatribe against China politics next time.

This is not your thread, you do not run the show here.
The OP asked if anyone likes the knife. Most are discussing what is liked and disliked. Country of mfg is a valid topic for many.

Want to guess why good threads get closed? County of origin is fine, giving your opinion on the countries labeled politics is a great way to get discussions shut down. That's why.

Anyway...

I really like the looks of the knife, and especially the handle. Just wish I could justify to myself another purchase of a fixed blade knife that will very rarely get carried.

I got it specifically for the kitchen. If I carry it past that I figured it would be a bonus. I haven't taken it hiking much, but the kitchen it has been used. Now I'm trying to save for 3 more to make our steak knife set for the family.

Didn't even think about that, but looking at it closer it looks like a great steak knife.

I won't go so far as to say "I won't buy Chinese knives" (I have bought many goods made in China over the years). However, quality aside, buying goods made in China should prompt moral/ethical questions that deserve serious consideration. The marketing of homage/fake goods is perhaps the least offensive aspect of buying goods made in China.

I understand that, but threads get closed when political commentary are inserted in, and I didn't want my thread closed.

Wish they would do a sprint run in s110 or s90 ...even non stainless if it was k390. Like the design and specs just not the steel.

Use mine in the kitchen a lot. Cut frozen sausage the other day and it went right through it. Slice tomatoes anything that needs cut. I just wash it off with some dish soap and hit the ceramic sticks and it stays sharp easy enough.

It looks like a kitchen knife to me. And I mean that in a nice way.

Had one for a couple days. Nice for the money. Sent it back, Chinese spyderco feels wrong.

I like seeing USA on my blades..
