Any Luv for CPM 154

Tested 154cm and cpm154 in edge retention. In this specific test with a handful of knives and lots of data.

Also rwl34 is cpm-154 just different brands. Lots of customs and mid techs use both of these steels. Gives really good mirror polish on blades and its easy for makers to work with.

Easy to sharpen takes a good edge, cpm-154 from my experience lasts a while but not as long as say s35vn. Toughness is decent. Good Stainless properties.

I like it. It's not my favorite but I like it alot.

In our race to the Maxamets of the blade world it seems we may have left behind some gems that might actually serve us better in real world use.

I think that's always the case, especially when one chases performance. There is no free lunch. (As usual.)

I've only had a Kershaw Launch in CPM-154, and it didn't get much use due to being illegal to carry off my property here. But what strengths would it have over something like CTS-XHP, which they use in a fair number of knives?

Got a CPM-154 bladed AD10. Love it...does everything you'd expect from a quality blade steel for non-specialized, random tasks. I'd love to see Spyderco move forward with more models in it.
