Over at the W&S sub forum we have been drumming up support for a BF survival knife. We have talked to Spark and have his permission to use the "BF" logo on conditions.
1. Donate a knife to BF for auction
2. Give a knife to him for personal use (it was either or for Spark but we thought it would be a good "thank you" for letting us use the logo)
3.Make it a collaboration and not a fight.
4.Not a money making scheme.
I should add we the buyers are willing to donate a % to each buy to pay for the two knives donated. Also the knife price in mind is around $110.00 to $185.00 each to the maker. That was just our guess of course.
Now obviously the maker needs to be paid for his skilled time and work. We have at least 50+ people interested in buying a knife and are down to two patterns.
Please look though these two threads:
Knife design winning is a drop point with a full flat grind (4" in blade length)

Who plans on buying the knife:

We were thinking that two patterns would be great. One the drop point that is winning so far, and the other a scandi (Woodslore pattern)
Also maybe we can offer a few different scale materials. Micarta, wood, and G10.
Any input would be greatly appreciated and if one of you would like to take on a project like this PM me please. I will give you my ph# or can call you and we can talk out a few details.
Thanks.......
