As the title states, I am curious if any makers are working with this steel. I have an old Marbles that I love and takes an edge like no other. I am considering something like a 4" blade/9" OAL convex hunter. Any pics or links would be appreciated. Thanks.

I use it for most of my slipjoints. I shoot for R59. At Blade last week there was a guy that had a Rockwell tester and I asked himn to test the knife I had in my pocket. He told me to brace myself for lousy results as most he had tested all day were nothing like they expected. Some of the best named knives tested very low 50s while claiming high 50s to low 60s. It tested 58.5. The stuff works like butter...I grind after heat treat and could not be happier with the edge it takes and holds. Easy to touch up also. It is a great working knife.

i use it now and then
i also would not have a lota of faith on the hardness tester on a show table (BTW if you know what your doing im told you can make the tester read high or lower then it really is )

I used to make knives out of 3/4" and 1 1/8" round stock from Admiral Steel. It worked really well (it helps that I have a pneumatic hammer).
