That is a beauty.

I wonder if that big fuller was meant to double as an emergency ash try ;)

I have one of the original Marbles Woodcraft knives, made before the patent issued (1916?). It's leather handle is still as tight and useful as when it was first sold. The carbon steel blade (1095 or some such) sharpens easily, holds an edge fairly well and field dresses and butchers deer like it was intended by Webster himself. Old but not obsolete, IMHO. In fact, I liked it so well that I bought pattern copies made before WWII by Case, Remington and three other manufacturers just to compare them.

i have one i think its pre 1914 because it has small letters in the logo and not alot of space between the actual sharp part of the blade and the handle its for sale right now too 500 will email images

Marbles went bankrupt a few years ago. Currently there are no Marbles knives being made in the US.
The Marbles name was bought and the owners are having fixed blades made in China and Pakistan, folders in China.

The Marbles fixed blades made from 1998-2001 when Mike Stewart was the head of the knife division were cyro treated 52100 carbon steel/bobcat boxes and these are very collectible.

The original Marbles knives were made up to the mid 1970's then there were no knives made by Marbles until late 1997/1998.
