I just picked up a Project II because I already had a Shadow IV. My thought process is to have a many different shapes of the one piece line as I can. If I only had one it would be a Shadow IV because I don't do a lot of stabbing <) and I almost always have a fairly sharp pointed pocked knife for accurate work. With that said I don't think you can go wrong with the Mark VI.

As we get closer to the end of the year, the reality of the One Piece Range being discontinued is really setting in. I've been wanting a larger OPR knife to go with my Mountaineer 1, so I went ahead and ordered a Mark VI. I decided to stick with the clip point, but wanted a double guard and a different style sheath this time.
I really think these knives will go up and up in value in the years to come. Besides, Randall and Bill Sanders, the OPR is the only high quality, hollow handle knife that I know of that is currently being produced. I hated to spend the money right now, but at least, I will be able to sleep again.
Well done TAH, am thinking you'll enjoy that fine knife for many years.
Mine certainly isn't appreciating with all the scars in the Kalgard coat. I kept going back and forth between the Shadow and the Mark VI and dabbled with the Mountaineer. Right now I'm trying to decide beween a Project and the Tanto, and occasionally toying with the idea of the Nakonka.
I like 'em all but prefer the single guard myself. So the Mtn 5.5" (don't remember the number) is my choice. So much so that I bought 2. I also have a Shadow 4, Ubejane, and the 5.5" Sable. The Ubejane is the one that rides in my back pocket the most during my little morning walks throught the woods and around the trail. It has a kydex sheath too. I should send it in this winter for a new camo look.
I also dread the thought of these disappearing. I actually like them all!
