Any nice new kershaw knives: Hard to keep up without a subforum

I love the value and quality of kershaw knives - but without a Kershaw subforum here, I tend to overlook them.

Anyone have insight into the KAI knives that have come out since the G10 Tyrade? Ram looks cool and I just ordered a scamp.

I just got my Ram and I love it! Its so light and the lock is great. I can't stop playing with it! The only downside is the g-10 where the pocket clip is, is a little abrasive. I sanded down the G-10 on mine so I could preserve my jeans. Hope this helps.

I would love to have the Kershaw subforum back. You're right, as it is it's much harder to keep up on new models and ideas without a forum. Sure for us knife afi's we know where to look when we want to know something but especially for the newbies and less experienced knife junkies it would be much easier for people to keep up if we had a designated subforum to turn to. I'll be the first one to admit that I get pretty pumped up while in some of the other manufacturers subforums and many times it will make the difference whether I look further into a knife or not. It's also just a great place for us Kershaw lovers to hangout and chat about what the latest crazes and what not are. And who doesn't like annual sub-forum knives.

Please Thomas W. bring back the Kershaw subforum, who else is with me?????

+1 on that!

Well, it was me who pulled the plug on the sub-forum, sorry about that. I'll take all the responsibility for it's abrupt end. At this time, it's doubtful a sub-forum would even be offered even if I asked. :o

Appreciate the continued interest in the sub-forum and our brand(s). :)

I echo that same thought !!! At least Thomas is still here with us almost daily....
I doubt we will ever see it back, as a subforum anyway, but you can ask Thomas
ANYTHING Kershaw and he will take care of you .... unless ofcourse it's TopSecret

I'm very excited about the new Speedform 2. Aside from that, the RAM, G10 Tyrade, and the OD-1 have kept me fairly occupied.

Browsing through the old subforum has yielded a whole wack of useful info for me

I think I joined the forums after it was closed, but it's still proved really helpful for me :). I certainly wouldn't mind it opening up again, or if one opened on another website even.

There are so many new knives, it is mind boggling. It will be an exciting Kershaw year to say the least. Not only new models but remakes as well. Speedform and Volt hopefully just around the corner, they might have to build knives 24 hours per day. Also the sales have been awesome for me, so this tells me that popularity is growing everyday and of course the customer service continues to be the best in the industry, maybe the best in retail. Very exciting for an old guy like me that has been a loyal customer and advocate for over twenty five years to see this company where they are today. It's people like Thomas that make it happen, he isn't just a retail guy he truly loves knives, and he makes sure we get knives we can love.:thumbup::thumbup:

Things happened, and your first priority was to the company you have to run!

This is where everyone loses. Spark loses because there is no dedicated Kershaw sub, the members here lose for the same reason, and yet Kershaw still manages to get all the juicy details and new info out to those that know where to look. All the stuff we used to have here is still available: sprint runs, steels, new models, specs and release dates, technical help and in general, up to the minute info about Kershaw, ZT and Shun.

It would be nice to see a Kershaw sub here again, but some people just can't let go. Shame.

I mostly lurked, but I miss the subforum. With my other knife interests, I just can't keep up.

Thomas

You have a lot of Kershaw fans here and not having a sub forum here is a dis-service to kershaw and their fans.
I know you say you doubt if you could get one back here, even if you asked.
But tell me would you commit to a forum if we, the members of Blade Forums were to ask?
If you are willing....I am (and I am sure many, many more folks here) are willing to ask and point out the benefits to all concerned.
What say you?

thanks for listening

Hi guys -

I agree - it would be nice to have a Kershaw sub - but in it's absence we have a few people who always seem to know the straight info and watch here fairly closely.

I think Kershaw is my favorite manufacturer of production knives. I have a longer affiliation with Buck products, but I really love the Kershaw stuff - it is always quality. The 4 I own are all top notch in every respect. In addition, I jumped all over the AGR Acies when I found out it was made by Kershaw.

The Kershaw people (mafia?) could just take over general - overrun it and make it the de facto Kershaw sub.

best regards -

I was never around to see the Kershaw subforum but I got the 2010 catalog from Kershaw and all I can say is WOW! Much better than Spyderco and Benchmades ones. This one is like a full size catalog with nice pictures instead of the little tiny things that Spyderco and Benchmade send out. I still like them but Kershaw blows them away.
