Barb and I are gonna try to make it out to Phoenix this year if everything goes alright. We will definitely meet up with Dave K and Gin and another forumite in Phoenix who's name I can remember. We can add you to the list. Maybe we can all meet for dinner or something or we can all meet up at our daughter's place.:D

Or we can all meet at my place. I'd love to have everyone over. Maybe by then I'll have all the mud from the patio worn off  I'll make a pot of chili and some cornbread. Let me know. :D Oh, yeah, if it's at my place I can have a beer or 2. Sounds good

Sounds good to me as well Gin. Maybe by then you can have a pool installed and I can show everyone what a "REAL" Cannonball looks like! :p :D ;)

Better make it an extra deep one just in case.;)

Bruise I'm not good at remembering names at all. :( We can also invite the forumite from Prescott down to the Valley of the Sun if we can tear him away from the nice mountain breeze that time of the year.;)

What time of year are you talking about? maybe we'll just have homemade icecream :D and fill the hottub with ice and have and icetub

Let me know when it is...I might be able to use some of the frequent flier miles I have stockpiled!

Not real sure right now Gin. There are a few things up in the air just yet.
I have to schedule and then have my cataract surgery and then the recovery time.
Then we have to wait until after tax season so we'll have the money to go. :grumpy:
Always one damned thing after another. I should have said, "We'll be there when (and if) the God(s) will.":D ;)
But hopefully sometime in April, see sentence above.;)

this sounds great everyone--e-mail me the place and date and old wyatt will be there  :)

Gin - If I can swing the trip on my flyer miles, can I sleep with you? Er...I mean can I use your couch? ;)

Actually I do have a spare room. The couch is very uncomfortable  . Just ask my poor son who had to survive on it. He moved to the floor :D . As for the date, Yvsa, The last weekend in April would be great. I have to travel up to NE to pick up the kid the next week. Let me know. If there are lots of out of town folks who would like to join us I can see about getting a discount at a great pool....i mean hotel in Tempe. Real close to my place....well relatively speaking. They have the most awesome pool and hottub there. Very relaxing at 1AM :D

Gin, Are you closer to Apache Junctions than Tempe. Tempe is IIRC west of Mesa. About a 8 mile stretch from Mesa East to Apache Junction.

Yes I'm closer to AJ. There is actually a hotel about 1 mile from my place. I'll check there too. It would be good for those who want to bring the SWMBO along. Mall right in the parking lot :D On that topic, I'm real close to 4 good malls all with a different set of stores. AZ Mills actually has closeout stores for Penneys and Saks 5th Ave and something else. So wives may have a great time too. :D But you don't have to tell them if you don't want to. I won't tell ;)

Is that little zoo still there at the junction? :)
I tried to get my Stepdad and Mom to homestead 5 acres in that area about 52 or 53 for $25. homesteading fee. They came up with all kinds of excuses. Would have been worth a pile, nowdays.

I"m not sure. I'll have to do a recon run and see. I know that the best hiking in the Superstitions starts there. But I haven't seen anything about the zoo. That might be the one that got moved up north a ways by Prescott.
