Any of my new friends in the southwestern arizona area??would like to get togeather

i live in a small rural town(arizona city)about 14 miles from casa grande--this is about midway between phoenix and tucson--anywhere everyone wants to meet will be good for me--will be great to see a face for the friends i have met online  :)

I go to Tucson occasionally for business...if this goes through and I come, keep me away from Nogales...it's too easy for me to have too much fun there!

if everyone comes up with a date that works out well for everyone--e-mail me and i will take a vacation day at work if needed--this would be great if we can all get togeather--a bunch of HIKV's all togeather--can't get any better than that-lol  :)

Can a refugee from the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia attend? I usually visit Arizona 2 or 3 times a year, and my first visit is coming up....

I know Casa Grande...I pass through/around it everytime I visit Tucson... :D

heck ya you can attend--the more the merrier--if we can get this togeather it will be great  :)

I'm the forumite from Prescott. Just e-mail me on a date/time/place. I can bring some show-and-tell, and sharpening accoutrements (e.g. 1" belt sander, stroups, etc.), for a mini sharpening clinic. If someone is interested in a particular HI khuk, let me know. If it's one in my war chest, I'll bring it along. I'll also bring along some custom scabbards, and maybe some trade goods if anyone is interested. :D

We are waiting on Yvsa to set a good date, but looking at Apr 23 or 30 for now. Rio do you run that gun and knife shop in Prescott that I drove by the other month on my way thru there? I learned a very valuable lesson that day. Make sure when getting directions to clarify roads. I ended up driving the 89A up through Jerome to get to Cottonwood  I since found out it's easier to go to the freeway and back in......oh well I understand it's a pretty drive. Unfortunately it was pitch black when I went through......talk about a scary drive. I'm glad I couldn't see the cliff "fall offs"

Not quilty, mamav! But I wish I did own it (or any of around 4 of the local gun stores). Not sure of the timing, but one of those 2 weekends I'll be backpacking into Havasupai Falls (probably 4/21-23). Next time you're coming back up this way, let me know where you're going and I'll e-mail you a map.

Keep me in the loop here as motorcycle season is coming and "have bike will travel".
For you AZ folks looking for something this weekend the Santa Cruz Valley Car Nuts are a having their annual show at Tubac Country Club off I-19 south of Tucson this Saturday 10am-3pm. Some rich folks playtoys. I am going with some riding buddies.

Jim will you be available for the weekend of the 30th? Gin emailed me but I've been setting on it just in case of something like this.
We'll probably spend 3 weeks this year instead of the full month or more, that's just too long. Maybe next year we'll delay it until closer to the summer. I enjoy Penny's pool too much to make it in the spring every year even though the summers are hotter than hell.
Kinda funny though, a couple of years ago it was hotter here in Tulsa than it was in Phoenix!!!! :grumpy: ;)

Edit:
Meant to say since we're probably gonna spend 3 weeks ou time is flexible and we can make it most anytime, depending on when I can get my scrips filled. :grumpy:

Yes, the 30th is good. And Phoenix is still decent that time of year (shorts and T-shirt weather). A couple of local events you may be interested in if you're in the area at the time: Festival of the West at Westworld in Scottsdale, March 17-20, and the Culinary Festival, April 12-17, also in Scottsdale. Of course February has the S.A.S.S. Winter Range, and the N.M.L.R.A. Western National Shoot for coal burners. :D

e-mail me with the time and date and address and i'll be there--sounds like a great time  :)
