I talked with one guy whu has used lengths as short as 4 inches . I think you would need magic elven fingers and lotsa spare time to do it like that .I betcha goat hair would be strong . I think I,ll stick to goat cheese . There is a guy not too far from me that made a Jalapeno goat cheese that was out of this world .

My bad . Is that a burro ? I don,t think I,d like to milk a burro .

I make cheese too. Here's some Chev're draining. Yeah Jasper is a Donkey/Burro.

Most of the hemp twine available is of craft quality . In other words it is not meant to have much of a breaking strain . If I can get a good quality it supposed to make a great string .

Flax/linen was used by shoemakers to sew soles onto uppers . It had to be amazingly strong . When it is waxed it is almost as easy to braid as hemp . If you can get it from a shoemaker supplier it is usually prohibitively expensive. There is one pyrotechnics company that sells it for a decent price .

Hollow that looks great . A little bit of feta cheese some hot peppers a couple of crackers and you,ve got a pic-nic .
