Any of you guys think you are obsessed?

i really need to update my blanket picture...

hey, first round of good warm weather, i can do that! but darnation, if it's not a couple hours out of my life toting them across the moat, lining them up, getting good altitude to shoot from/etc.

mmm, maybe indoors, i'll see if i can manage with the stairs. definitely easier off the porch though.

i'm pretty sure i added a brute or two in there, and some patrol machetes, and ... man, i can't remember any more ;)

but no, i'm not obsessed lately.

Obsessed is a strong word, I'd describe myself as enthusiastic about knive's , Becker's & Fiddlebacks mostly. I'm trying to sell off some of the blades I don't use as much or ever so I'm past obsession. I'm on a few forums and there's none I've seen like this one here as far as just plain old good dudes, folks willing to help each other out and such.

My BK2 goes everywhere with me. Around the house it's always right at hand. When I go someplace it's in the truck or on my hip.

Definitely obsessed. The fun people here add to it though, if it weren't for this group I probably would have gotten into Becker knives, bought a bunch (as I have), then keep them and use them but move on to a new different knife obsession while checking occasionally for new additions to the BKT line. The people keep me coming back.

These two statements say it all.
Becker knives are a great product for the money, but its the people that make this place what it is.

Bladite, second row, #13. Appears to be a 9, but appears to be a slightly different in profile, like the flat on the side of the blade is shorter. Is that just something in the evolution of the design? Is it something similar, but not really a 9? Or, is the light playing tricks on me? If it IS different, I like it. Just a small asthetic difference.

I believe that is a cam 9, not a kabar 9 stalbot, although I could be wrong. The cam 9's are thicker, but have slightly higher saber grinds. This leaves you with a smaller "flat" on the side of the knife.

I am in love with my BK2. Once I get the sheath fixed up or modded or dressed the way I want it then, I will be fully obsessed I'm sure. But to put it in perspective, here is a conversation I had with my wife the other day.

Wife: Are you going to spend all your time looking at knife shit (meaning this forum and images of BKs) and playing with sharp objects?
Me: It's either knife porn, or real porn. You decide.
Wife: (with a look of surrender on her face) Ok, I guess I'll shut up.

:D

Ill tell ya, i do think i have a knife & gear dependency issue but i justify it to myself by saying, " since i dont have a wife & kids yet i mite as well get everything i want now while i still can with relative ease." That does just fine for my conscience!

Great plan.

Great plan.

That's an awesome plan. Develop your interests now, and find a woman who will accept it. Don't get involved then try to sell the mate on an idea later. Women only like change if they are the ones doing the changing. ;)

I'm not so much anymore. I think I might have been at one point, but now it's more of a hobby....i guess. :D

I still need more though.... MHUuuHAHAHAHAhahahahahaha

yeah, i think that's just a minty fresh unused 9. some of them had slightly tweaked grinds - i think that one might be "uneven" >:D
