Sweany I was glad to see that you hosted the SaltFork Blacksmith Assoc. and that Rob made it. Looks like he is joining too.Good to hear from you.

Not new; real old. Broken Bow is a long way from Cushing. Just forge. You guys are all up there in a little wad. Lots of potential for sharing ideas. mike

Mike, I was heading up to Ks to see the folks in Feb, Rob was out in the shop. I did a uturn and stopped to see him. He made the slickest western belt buckle, nickle silver cowboy Overlay (horse, cowboy, cross) on a welded cable base. Too Kewl..

Those Salt Frok hammer ins are a buncha fun..... One here Sat. in Tulsa.

Come on down Bart!?

I'm not in OK, but I'm darned near it. I'm in the southwest part of MO. I live about 10 minutes from OK. I'm a newer maker, I've only made a handful of knives and have a small, makeshift shop right now.

I'm here in Marlow, currently doing stock removal but in the process of getting into forging. Are there any mastersmiths in Okla, other than Williams in Broken Bow?

I just moved to El Reno, ok, is their anyone here who teaches knife making? I’ve always wanted to give it a try.

Welcome Erinkotz62.
Fill out your profile info so we know where you live and a bit about you.

The Moran School of Bladesmithing is run by the American Bladesmith Society. It is at the Texarkana College in in Texarkana Arkansas. That is about a five-hour drive from Oklahoma City. The Moran school teaches classes on basic bladesmithing to engraving. Classes range from three days to a week. I believe they have a class that starts online and ends with in-class sessions.
