Maybe its just thinning out the herd but CRK has really helped me to see what I like in a knife. I still carry some of my other knives from time but it is helped me to realize what I will and will not use and the others I am just selling off. I still use some great and Iconic models from other suppliers such as the Spyderco Military, Manix2, Emerson CQC7 & 15, but CRK showed me another level of quality that I was previously unaware of. The only time I don't carry CRK now is if there is a good chance of it getting lost or really scuffed up, then it is really nice to have good solid alternative. Any of you find that your collection got smaller once you discovered CRK, or did you still hold on to most of your pre CRK collection?

I've been carrying CRK exclusively for a year or better and haven't given my benchmades a chance!

I have some I know I need to let go, but can't seem to get motivated to do so. Even though I carry CRK and Strider exclusively for the last year, I'm still hanging on to the others. They just sit in the safe being lonely. I will get rid of them eventually, but not today.

I sold three to get a large 21 with micarta inlays last week.

I have four more going up soon to fund a Zaan.

I still have a number of other production knives but non of them get used, apart from a couple of Spyderco Salts that are with my wetsuit. I probably should sell them off, many are still in thier boxes at the bottom of a cupboard somewhere, and that's is a sad life for any knife.

I sold a number of knives after getting a Sebenza 21. And still have a lot of knives that just sit around doing nothing. I will hang on to certain knives and get rid of others. Some knives just work for me and other don't. Not that there is anything wrong with those knives, they're just not a match for me. Might as well let someone appreciate them and use them.

I'm thinking of selling off my Spyderco Domino, it was my primary carry before I got my first Sebenza this year. It sits in my 12 Knife case along with the rest of my Spydies and Benchmades. The two ZT's I will be sure to grab in case of Undead apocalypse or whatever lol.

I need to let a couple of my CRKs go so I can get some different CRKs :D. I think I want to get a wood inlay user - I'm kind of heavy on micarta. No complaints on micarta, probably the best inlay from a utilitarian point of view; I just want to mix it up a little.

I think what pushed me over the edge was the Startac. It was my 2nd CRK in as many months and I started to realize of the 20 or so knives I own, I only carry about half of that and of those the majority are CRK's. So the ones I don't carry I have started to let go and I feel good about it. The people who I have sold them to are excited about them and that's how it should be. And I am more satisfied having a few knives that I really enjoy, appreciate and use, rather than a bunch of knives that sit in a drawer and I occasionally take out of their box to look at.

The same thing is happening to me. I bought a Startac last night after picking up a 25 earlier this week. I'm going to sell quite a few nice knives to fund my CRK addiction, which had gone into remission for a couple of years but is now roaring back.

Isn't that funny that is the same path I followed, I also bought the 25 just prior to the Startac. The 25 is really what pulled me back in and after I received the Startac (which I think you will find incredible) I started to really see that I wasn't quite as passionate about many of my other knives. One great think though is that I have in enjoyed them, they helped me to really establish my preferences for EDC and also to appreciate CRK. They also give me something to sell to feed my addiction so that I don't have to spend my money ... Translation happy wife, happy life.

Sold off everything but very sentimental knives. Once I had CRK quality in my hands, it was hard to carry anything else.

My son took over my collection and I'm always going in his room and saying "How about this one?" As you progress in knives you quickly find out what you like and don't like in them. The more you carry one you realize what works for you. Everyone is different but it's funny how more and more people, myself included, lean towards smaller user friendly EDC's. I just sold 2 knives to fund a Sebenza and plan on getting rid of more one I convince my son. If money wasn't a concern I would keep them all. Strange how it's OK for my wife to have a million pairs of shoes or handbags but she always asks "Why do you need another knife?"

I like having other knives , they serve different purposes. Plus variety is nice. Also having other knives to compare the sebenza to makes the sebenza stand out in certain areas and makes you appreciate it more, if you have nothing to compare it to it becomes kind of normal.

Oh Yes, I did this long ago. Once I realized that CRK was the best out there in my opinion, I began selling off nearly all others to buy more of em. I later sold a few CRK to buy some Hinderer's. But in the end, I have ALWAYS come back to CRK. I am at the point now where I will just simply not sell any of my CRK's and will only Add to the collection by selling other knives and various items to fund more.

When I bought my first CRK (that was 15 CRK's ago), it made me realize what real quality is. I did sell off alot of what I thought were great knives at the time, but I also found that buying & carrying CRK's, it gave me an appreciation for really fine quality folders, so yes, I did sell off a bunch, but then I also bought more, higher quality (& more expensive) knives to compliment my CRK's.
