The replaceable handle is a Jerry Fisk thing, good idea... they do not say what the steel is. That makes it or breaks it.
 
the hawk looks kinda cool, but i would go w/ RMJ tactical if i was going to spend over $200. a quick look at some of their other stuff makes me think they are WAY proud of their blades, nothing wrong w/ it but well out of the price range im in.

You could easily reshape a trail hawk into that and it would only be $25 if you bought it off amazon.
 
Looked at quite a few pages of the web-site, most of the info was on how great/ fantastic a martial artist this guy is- dosen't even say specifically if HE makes each and every one- As far as the replacement handle, most hawks are set up that way and like Pipeman and woodsrunner said- there's alot you can get for way less than that kind of $cratch and know what you get besides.
 
First off there is not a finer hawk on the market than a Winkler II RD

BUT I did email these guys and they said its forged carbon steel, she emailed me back on a Sunday during the SuperBowl 30 minutes after I shot them a email.

Also it is in stock. I may get one I like the head design. I have only one CS its a Trench Hawk and its too big heavy and ill balanced. Its heavy in the head but does hit like it; its weird. This War Hawk looks nice.
 
To be totally honest when I opened the page to skulls as a logo I had seen enough. But each to his/her own.

It’s not worth the price my friend, trust me (most of the products on that site are just goofy). Look up cold creek forge, he can hook you up whit a custom made hawk. At a better price.

I'm with Ed. Steve at Coal Creek forge would make you a damascus hawk for not much more and a great carbon steel hawk for less. He's a super guy to deal with.
