I was at a show this weekend and picked up a Buck Mayo TNT. I am really impressed with the fit, finish and feel of it.

It is hair popping sharp, very light and fits my hand well.

I haven't owned a Sebenza, but this knife seems to have a lot of the same attributes.

I am interested to hear what other people think.

It's been brought up quite a bit as a cheaper alternative to a Sebenza.
I've never handled one but it is an interesting knife, with it's Ti handle, frame lock and well made reputation . If it was a bit bigger I might just have to buy one.

I have a large Sebenza, small Sebenza and a TNT.
I carry the Mayo as much as either. It's doesn't have a sebenzas precision and strength.

What it lacks in those areas, it makes up for with. Great looks. Comfort in the pocket and hand. I think it opens easier, rather than "bank vault" feel mine glides open and locks securely. It's about the size of what I would call a medium sebenza (if they made one). Which is awesome!

Not a Sebenza, but a great knife!

It takes more than a Ti handle and framelock to make it a Sebbie subsitute. A good design, similar in size to a small Sebbie but totally different feel and ergonomics. Nonetheless the TNT is a very good knife - nice score

I sold my Sebenza and kept my Buck Mayo's. I really like everything about, both the TNT & the Waimea. Great lockup. Light weight. Sharp as all get out!

I have both folders. The TNT is an excellent knife. It does'nt have the precision of a sebenza but its close.

I had a Buck/Mayo TNT, until I could get a custom Mayo. It is an excellent knife.

I've got two Buck/Mayo TNTs and a Waimea and they are superb knives for the price. My carbon fiber TNT has the smoothest action of any folder I own. They're not quite up to the quality of a Sebenza but then they're not in the Sebenza price range either.

Thanks for the comments. I would love a Mayo TNT but the disposable income is severely impacted these days.

Actually, there are TOO MANY knives I would like, but as Clint once said "a man must know his limitations":D

The carbon fiber version is beautiful....

The biggest compliment I can give the TNT is that it has basically replaced my small wood inlaid Sebenza as my edc. I now alternate between my Mayo/Waimea and the TNT. These knives are excellent slicers and smooth as butter... Now I'm trying to figure out how to sneak a carbon fiber TNT into the house without the Mrs. finding out. :D:D

I have handled one and I share your last thought: I would have kept it if it were just a bit bigger. 3.5 inches would be just about right, maybe a 3.9 inch version as well.

I've got one. It is a great knife, and actually a good size, not too much like my regular EDC's.

The top horn on the grip is a bit much working your hand into the pocket, and it is all metal, which is sometimes cold, or gets slippery. In CF, I could see improvements I would appreciate better. Still, it's probably the best high end ti framelock on the market at the lowest price.

I got mine for less than $100, shop the classifieds, it pays to buy used.

That is really an incredible knife. Very comfortable to use and carry, and slices like crazy. This knife is one of my favorite carry knives.

Very nice knife. The one I had had great fit & finish & I really like the blade shape. IMHO, I actually like the Buck/Mayo TNT better than the Bradley Alias I & II. I ended up getting rid of it because I have a small & lg. Seb & just didn't find myself using/carrying it. However, if I didn't have a Seb, I think the TNT would be a must have.

Nice knife ;)

I had a Buck/Mayo and traded it and some other knives for a small micarta Sebenza. The Mayo was nice and smooth, I really liked it. But, I dont think you can really compare it to a Sebenza. In my opinion the Sebbie is smoother, fits my hand better, is a stronger knife, and looks better to my eyes. You also pay a lot more for these things. Like I said though, the mayo really is a nice knife and I would mind getting that smaller one they have now.
