Any other SMALL SAK's with one blade?

Nice work, Revolvergeek! That is very cool.

Yeah, Felinevet is the guy. Great prices and service.

It is so strange, but I find the Solo to be an extremely nice knife...despite it's simplicity and remarkable price.
I purchased it because I wanted to try a larger blade, and it delivered.

Don't get me wrong, the Opinel is pretty sweet too (it was fun putting a patina on it with vinegar) in a very "old world" way...but, the Vic is just bombproof, requiring little care. Just use it, clean it up and sharpen occasionally.

I almost forgot to mention that if you are interested in fixed blades, the Mora/Ericksson line is, like Victorinox, incredibly big bang-for-the-buck.

That notch looks awesome. So you can finger open it, inside of fingernailing it. Any tips on how to copy you? haha

I just started out with a Dremel tool and a sanding drum to get it started, and then worked it with a big rat tail file. I would have rounded that edge down a little more, but I didn't want to get too much into the checkering. I carried it for a while with a big Berkley Point clip splitringed to the lanyard hole. I could clip it to my pocket and pinch the blade to open it one handed, then unclip it. I will try to get some picks of that setup later.

Overall these are awesome knives, even if they weren't so cheap. The blades are nice and flat and thin and cut very well. I ordered a bunch of spares and will probably try to rescale one with orange g10. :D

Thanks guys, I am super psyched!

Also, pics would be great! Thank you. An orange one would be pretty sweet. If you ever do it, please post photos. Very curious to see what that would be like.

I just picked this one up last week. It is going to live in my desk drawer at work for sandwiches ( and wine after work).

I just received a Vic alox solo this afternoon, and I have to admit I think it's already one of my favorite folders.

The only thing I found odd was that Victorinox still uses the "twisted" style blade even though it's just a single bladed knife.

Now if I could figure out how to add a lanyard hole...:D
