Any patterns you avoided like the plague, but they just grew on you?

The baby sunfish fallowed by the canoe. I ordered an equal end whittler years ago and my old buddy accidentally sent me a baby sunfish! I though well the bone is just too pretty to send back; what the hey I'll give it a try. I sure am glade I did, and the baby sunfish got me a little into canoes since to me they look like kissing cousins!

The Congress pattern. Might not have the longest blade but I love the curve of the spine and the beauty in four blades laying so perfectly in the handle. Plus GEC makes a really beautiful one.

Opinels, and other simplistic single blade folders for me. I'd known about Opinels for quite a while, but never could convince myself to own one, and when I did they then grew on me a great deal. I own a ton of much more expensive knives, but always come around to carrying my Opinels.

That top baby sunfish is beautiful; that is the first jigged bone from Schatt & Morgan that I have ever liked. I need one in my future!!

There are a lot of different designs I don't care for with one being the Barlow. Now I'm searching for one that is catching my eye.

After forgetfully losing too many good knives to Homeland Security at various airports, I bought a box of these on Ebay from a Homeland Security auction (how 'bout that). I hated this little knife at first, but the blade did hold an ok edge, I've pulled lots of splinters and ticks with the tweezers, and when I set off a metal detector now I just toss it away without a second thought.

Ditto!
Before the Holidays I picked up a Schatt brown bone improved Muskrat, and right next to it on the dealer's page were a couple of baby Sunfish. Since I only had enough cash for one I held off, but I have a feeling one of those Schatt Sunfish will arrive here in 2013.

Thanks DeadFall! I have to add and agree with this one as well! I remember being at a gun & knife show a long time ago and I had just started getting into Spydercos, when an old timer stepped out in the aisle and said hey take a look at this amazing budget knife and I said not interested! In my pea brain mind I thought I don't want that France made piece of you know what! I had shear ignorance in my head!! Now when I stuff one of my Opinels in my pocket I do the could of had a V8 thing to my head!
