Anyone know if the Flight will be produced with zytel/FRN handles?
Good knife, feels a little heavy clipped to non-jeans, G10 not nearly as grippy as the hype would have you believe. Would love to see this with FRN.

Well, it is considerably lighter and more grippy than the stainless version. :D

I suspect the FRN version is going to depend on sales of the SS and G-10 version. Tooling up for FRN is expensive, so the model needs to be selling well to make it feasible.

Wouldnt' it be just as heavy with Zytel and steel liners? Or are you proposing they lose the steel liners?

No, I don't think so. I owned both a G10 Meadowlark and an FRN Meadowlark. Both had the liners. My G10 was noticably heavier on dress pants especially than the FRN. Unfortunately, I lost the FRN somehow. I also found, for me, that the FRN had a much grippier 'tackier' grip than the G10.

I also prefer the FRN version of the Meadowlark/Robin to their G-10 counterparts; the difference in weight is "noticeable" in pocket; the traction of the textured FRN is also better than the G-10 ones for these 2 models...

great to hear the FRN Flight is coming  I wonder if a swedge-less Flight in a full flat ground format would be "in keeping with the times" just a thought :)

Naw, keep the swedge, its one of the very few knives still out there with a swedge:(
