Any plans on CPM M4 Rex?

There is no reason that you should feel sorry.. It is a valid question.. That im sure, some others were wondering about....
Matt

Kershaw forum seems like turns into fanboy-only. So I am sorry that I came here with this question, instead of peeping with happiness how cute and adorable all Kershaw models are...

Thanks, Vassili.

I really would like to see something in M-4 from Kershaw, but the whole S110V thing is much more groundbreaking at this time (we just need to get an Offset made with that stuff).
To push the limits a little further with future plans, I'd like to see a composite blade with CPM 15V rather than M-4 (though M-4 is a more balanced steel).
CPM 15V is still the king of wear resistant steel, and would cover territory that the ill fated S125V should have.

Perhaps you ask to much? I know we all look forward to things but sometimes patience is the greatest virtue.....

I am terribly sorry, bringing this up. It will not happen in the future.

Thanks, Vassili.

I guess you weren't being sincere when you said "I am terribly sorry," and you didn't mind taking a jab at people on your way out. Perhaps someday you'll find the acceptance you so desperately seek, but my guess is that it won't be in this forum.;)

Thanks, 3G

(...) and we have our eyes on the upcoming CPM-110V(...)
Sorry for the OT, but can somebody tell me something more about this 110V?

Google doesn't know
Crucible selector either

If somebody can give me an comparision to the "normal" steels (f.e. S30V, 3V or even M2), I'd be reeealy grateful ;)

Ps. Sorry for my poor english :o

Well, now. There's a trollish exit.

Responses to your questions about a low-profit, high-production company using the same steels that custom makers have only latched onto in the last year or so netted you some pretty civil responses, I thought. Then you pull this.

"Don't let the door..." and all that. :thumbdn:

CPM S110V is essentially an upgraded form of CPM S90V. While it isn't 11% vanadium, it is harder, tougher, and more corrosion resistant. Pretty much what S125V was supposed to be, without being nearly impossible to make anything with it.

I just love plain, boring ole' 13c26! Am i freak or something? ;) :D

If so, you can say the same of me. I like to try these new super steels with in reason. I don't care for a steel to be RC higher then 61. The knives that seem to see the most use are the medium steels like 13C26, 8A etc. That's not to say I don't give my 30V and D2 knives a good working.

um. I hope no one was taking my joke seriously. As far as I know there is no such steel. Was just trying to be funny

No, no. Too late for that. We're gonna ring Thomas' phone off the hook, and every time he answers, we'll whine, "But SladeGT40 said you were gonna make it!"

Every time.

Yes.
