Any Predictions??

When I went to vote early this morning there was a lot of young voters ahead of me. If this is the same through out the country I’ll say Kerry 56%. :D

My prediction is a brutal few weeks with recounts and allegations of voter fraud and a mockery of our system by our own politicians. MAN I hate a 2 party system, vote 3rd party. As for who will win? Bush most likely.

PS: Hey Roger, I never emailed you to say I got the blades the cutter is almost finished and hopefully there will be some pics on CKD, I'll keep you posted. Thanks so much for the heat treat help!!!!

On the radio in Tulsa a Lady called in said her third grader had a Who do you like in the election POll, in his class.
Bush won and Kerry tied with SpongeBob Square Pants

I think whichever of the two has the best team of lawyers will be President for the next term.... Unfortunately.

Losers never win.

(And by that I don't mean you Daniel I mean politicians .) :footinmou

I have never seen lines at the polls like we had today....It made me feel good that the yuppies are voting. My guess is for Va...56% Bussh, for the country though.......too close to call. There are a lot of naive people out there

Haven't heard anything about Bush's lawyers but they said on the news yesterday morning that Kerry has 10,000 lawyers on standby and will be appointing cabinet members and a transition team regardless of the actual election results. What an *******.

Either way it goes tonight,I predict that in less than ten days the streets of New York will be filled with soldiers.Any takers on a bet?

Streets of NYC filled with soldier?

Sad, but I think Nick is right. The lawyers are going to bog this down. Much worse than last time.

I hope not but I think it they already are. I really don't care what goes on in NY city other than how bad an example it sets for the idiots we have governing Va.

I went to vote today spoiling for a fight with someone. I had heard about all the observers that were going to be at all the polls and all the cops that were supposed to be there and I wasn't having any.

I got there and there were a ton of people waiting to vote but....

No observers
No Cops (not even to vote) :D
No troops
No Arabs with dirty bombs

No one to fight with, insult, ridicule and the election officials were even nice. Va passed a voter ID law a few years ago and if you don't have a voter registration card or drivers license, you have to sign an affidavit to vote.

I always make them give me an affidavit. They were so professional today, I showed my voter registration card.

I'm not sure the end is coming this week. We can always hope it moves along soon! :footinmou

Yep, on 11 NOV... Veteran's Day. - Jim

I'll be in NY for the knife show on Nov.11, I hope the streets aren't full of soldiers  This would probably put a damper on the show.
Oh well we'll see.

I believe that would be unconstitutional.

On the 11th I am going elk hunting. Will be back on the 19th-or sooner if lucky and cold. I hope there is not martial law at that point, which is the only legal way that there could be troops in the streets.

Maybe I am too skeptical but even with democracy restored in Brazil for over 20 years I just don´t care about the results of our elections either in city, state or national level. If the winner is not the worst candidate, it is the second worst - and things never, never change.
At least you guys still care for the results - that should be a good thing.

Excuse the forign inpute. I am not going to say who is better or worse but from my side of the world I think your man Bush will get back and I don't think the other guy had a chance from the start. It may just be the media reports we get.

Don't flog me guys just and observation of the media available. I realy don't know who is better or more deserving.

Ower guy Howard got back in a couple of weeks ago. The entire campain they were saying too close to call blah blah. I tend to be sceptical of the motives of the media sells lots of papers and ratings. Ower campain was one sided and always was going to be. Good luck who ever you get in.

Whatch this space see if I end up with egg on my face. I was not trying to stick my nose in or offend. The media was my thread and observation not the politics of your country, which is non of my business.
