Any Predictions??

Well Reg....here's the whole thing in a nutshell as I see it. (The world according to Nap)

We have a choice between someone who thinks I'm gonna give up a few freedoms to be safe :D AKA the A$$hole

and

Someone who wants to give away the country and thinks being a Goose Hunter makes up for his plan to steal my guns :barf: AKA the &ickhead.

So the race is between an A$$hole and a &ickhead.
At least the A$$hole didn't stop the assault weapons ban from expiring so I will align him with the forces of light.

There isn't anything good at all about the &ickhead except he doesn't live near me. He will be aligned with the forces of dark.

After the votes are counted the real battle between the forces takes place. In the supreme court AKA the ultimate council of spoilers.

About December we will see who is the victor.
Ain't Democracy grand! :D  :footinmou

Someone buy that man a beer!

Don, I think you fit it in the nutshell pretty well!

As it stands this morning it looks like Bush is going to get it, with 269 Electoral votes to Kerry's 221. I'm not sure who's left to be counted.

Edited. Ohio seems to be in dispute but the Bush camp says their lead is sufficient to carry it even if all the provisional ballots went to Kerry. Well, I hope Kerry has the huevos to just bow out if he loses the count.

I know your a supporter for Kerry, Dave
Its nice to see that your willing to accept the results if they don't go the way you want. And I agree, lets hope that Kerry takes it half that well. And the same for Bush should things somehow turn around.

As far as I'm concerned on the whole thing, I have to agree with Peter. I really don't like either candidate. I would have liked to vote "neither, try again" but you can't do that because someone else will just ovote them in. So I figure that Bush has done an acceptable job given the number of challenges he's faced. And unlike Kerry he is not about taking my guns, raising my taxes, and giving the goverment control of things it should not have.
But like I said, I really would have preferred to vote neither. I think alot of folks end up feeling like Ivan and not caring because neither candidate is really worth a damn. I think we have to fight that mentality or risk end up getting worse and worse candidates every time.

After my post yesterday I went out and switched on the TV suprise be had 3 chanels of your election coverage. I only get 4 chanels on my set. It went for a couple of hours. It is not our election so why hours of it.

Media making money.

Well Peter you ave a beautiful way of describing things. For all of you on both sides I hope things go well. Particularly for your troops who are most at risk by government policy.

As a result of the predicted win of Bush here your dollar rose higher against ours and the stock market had a large gain. That sounds like good news for your country. But who knows it may have got even stronger with the other guy.

Thanks for explaining your system Peter.

It was kind of interesting to watch the market during the election. Early when Kerry was leading the market took a pretty good dip and ended the day low. But it soared yesterday when it became clear Bush would win.

I'm glad Kerry conceded, that was the right thing to do.
