Any reason not to get the Spyderco Endura 4 for EDC?

As some of you may know, I recently bought a Benchmade Mini-Grip for EDC. I was a little surprised as to how smaill this knife was in my hand. I find it's too small for my purposes. So I'll admit my opps and move on. What are your thoughts on the Spyderco Endura 4? Plain or partially partialy serated blade? While I'm sure there are knives which are "better", I'd like to keep the cost around $60.00.

Can't find ANY disadvantages, unless you don't like the Spyderco design in general. Or if you have YETI hands....

Good to use, practical and safe as well (lock and ergonomics, choil and scales material)

I suggest the combo blade and Foliage Green (black is too Henry Ford...and the green changes colour depending on background:D ) About 42 dollars.

You almost certainly won't be disappointed.

Nope. No reasons that I know of;) .

EDIT: If you buy one, hundreds of dollars more will be spent.

Get a full sized Grip---I went from an Endura to one.

I own one Delica and one Mini Grip-----both are too small and are retired----but I had to find out the hard way.

Well...

The Endura 4 is a great knife without question.
But after carrying one for awhile, I discovered that the old Endura style handle was more comfortable to me.
Unfortunately, nobody wants to part with their old Enduras.
But luckily, the Pacific Salt is readily available!

Why choose a Pacific Salt over an Endura 4?

1) It's a little lighter in weight.
2) It has H-1 steel and a titanium clip so it simply CANNOT RUST (great for summers around the pool, at the beach, watering the lawn, washing the car, etc...).
3) And it's available in bright you-can't-lose-me-if-you-tried yellow!

The Endura is a classic by now,l ike allenc suggests, you might consider the Pacific Salt if you like the gen 3 style better, the new gen 4 Endura is a nice solid feel though.

If you're already set on picking up the Endura 4, you might as well upgrade a little and get one with the wave, it will still keep your cost below $60, and it's a great feature to have.

I received my first Spyderco, an Endura 4 Wave about a week ago.

Wow. Great solid handfull of a knife. Skeletonized steel inserts, great ergos on the FRN shape.

The Wave is not for everyone, but I do like the Waved knife's blade shape better.

Another plus of the Waved E4, a grayish/indigo handle.

**Next up a Combo edge Foliage Green Endura 4. Or maybe a ZDP-189 Endura 4...Or maybe...

The handle is made of FRN and while it is quality not everyone (including myself) likes FRN handles. But for the 60 dollar price limit you have then you cant go wrong with either the endura or full grip

I wouldn't get one because I do not care for the lockback, but if you do make sure to try out the "zip-tie wave" feature.

The Endura is a great knife.I would prefer the Delica over the Endura for EDC. But, I do not care for partially serrated knives.

I recently got a Delica and Endura, both waved, and love them both. Personally while it's light for the size the Endura is a tad too big for me for EDC but sounds like you have tried smaller and found wanting so more power to you. Both knives have great lines, fit, finish, all that, and a great value. Serrations are a personal preference but I would go straight edge unless you are likely to be cutting lots of rope and the like.

I just picked one up and I love it. Think I will try the zip tie thing. Real solid. I could have had the salt or the wave but the classic endura4 felt the best. You will just have to handle them and see.

It's a great knife, but I prefer the ergos and scale material of the G10 Cara Cara from Byrd. Either way you'll come away with a good knife, though there are many others in this price range worth looking at.

Ah, now you tell me! I came to the same realization that while I really like my mini grip, it is too small for my hand. I find the Boker Trance to be a better fit for me.

I ordered a Delica (should be here tomorrow) to try out since it was slightly larger. I didn't want to go all the way to an Endura or full size Grip since I thought my Buck 110 was too large to EDC and both of those knives seemed close to the Buck in size.
