Any recommendation on a Fish fillet knife?

I would say for panfish and bass that a 6-8 stiff blade would be the best.

I also know that I am always saying try the Dexter/Russell line of carbon steel fillet knives. 1095 steel, ground thin edge and about 10-15 bucks.

If you hate it for filleting it is a great utility knife for the kitchen.

Thank you for the informative replies. I want to spend about $25.00 or so. Liked the Fallkniven F2, but not for that price.

Rapala's are great for smaller fish you want a thin flexible blade and they get like razors. Grew up filleting big bony pike and walleye and for them a flexible round tipped 10 or 12inch salmon knife is perfect, they use them to microslice lox etc. You can get industrial versions from Frost etc with plastic handles for a reasonable price, sorry no links .........

I've been a Rapala man for freshwater and Dexter-Russell for saltwater. I have recently acquired a Rada Cutlery filet knife that has not seen any use...

We've taken apart hundreds of fish with my good old Schrade Sharpfinger, so it is all relative ;)

What is the yellow folder on the bottom? I found a very rusty one in my dads garage and have plans to try and clean it up.
