Any recommendations for my first Boker?

Couldn't resist!:D;)

I don't think I'll be getting the Eurofighter II, for the moment I spend my money for some custom knives, I wil go to the MesserMacherMesse in Solingen, and I bought some Chris Reeve Knives. I still like Boker - they turn out some great knives!

Some other nice Bokers I like (in no particular order):

Boker "classic" folder with different handle materials
Boker Folding Hunter
And these two: damascus blades, nice handles, and they are less expensive than the Euroofighter damast (not my knives - not my pics)

Have to swipe the drool of my keyboard Jos:D

What kind of wood is used in the left one?? What model is that one . I'm not familiar with it . Is it a "Sammlermesser" special edition?

Left one = Thuya wood. The model is the Boker CPM Damascus. I don't know if it is (was) a special edition. Maybe "Marketing" can enlighten us on that one.

The one on the right is the 2002 limited edition. Stag handles, nickel silver guards.

I just got the Boker Trance last week and I like it a lot. Fits extremely well in the hand and a razor sharp blade. There is no blade play and the frame lock is very solid. It's the perfect size and makes a nice compact EDC. It even fits well in the coin pocket of jeans and is small and light so sometimes i forget its there.

I'm also looking at getting a SubClaw soon and should make for an even smaller EDC as well as a vicious backup.

Kunst,

How far do you want to branch out? Before the coming of the House of Los Banos overshadowed everything else, Boker was known for their excellent Tree Brand traditional slipjoint pocket knives (and still are) - yet another world to explore.
So true. I've been wanting to try out one of their knives made for HK with the X-15 TN blades, but I can't stop buying CLBs! :D

To the OP, The CLB series are fantastic knives at extremely reasonable prices. Also, I don't think you could go wrong with the German made stuff. Look into the Titan, Turbine, and H&K offerings.

edit: Specifically, on the Titan, I was thinking of the 2051 that JTR posted last page. I'm not sure if that's actually called a "Titan" but it looks like the Titan 3 with thumbstud. Just for clarification.

I just want to show that there's more to Boker than Subcoms and Trances. Not that I don't like those, but here on this forum there seems to be talk of not much else. I've got more nice pics if needed:D.
