Not really my cup of tea. Always reminded me of Woody Woodpecker...whom I have never been a fan of.

I think "Pterodactyl" when I see one. I have one, just because I think they are an interesting piece of cutlery history. They certainly do work as intended, as a one handed opener. Aesthetics and ergonomics wasn't as important as function when it was designed. I can live with that. ;)

I've never been able to connect with that knife on any level...

in my time on bladeforums this pattern probably elicits the most clear cut love it/hate it! responses... nothing wrong with that.:) to each his own
I will say that once open the ergos are fine for my hands (rather large) so its a decent usable size. I'd Love to pick up one in CV in the future:thumbup:
for me at least it's not a trapper:D
cheers

I always thought the opening "tail" on it gave it possibilities as a non-lethal SD impact weapon; which wasn't the reason I carried it, I just found it an interesting notion. To me it always made it look like a straight razor, which I rather like.

I suppose that I just had magical jeans when I used to carry it all the time, as I don't remember a pocket ever being worn through by it. I will admit, though, that once or twice it would end up in exactly the right position to discourage careless bending at the waist. :D
