Any rightys that carry in their left pocket?

I have my EDC knife (folder) setup as a lefty and in my left pocket even though I'm right-handed. I practice drawing the knife, engaging, dis-engaging, and clipping it back in my pocket as well. Anyway else do this?

Yes, with a waved knife in the left pocket it's called forward waving. There are a few others around that do this. The only folders I own that are not waved is slip joints.

I'm left handed and carry a knife in my right pocket. Only problem with that is after I open the knife with my right hand, I switch to my left hand to use it. I don't trust myself to use a knife right handed

I'm right handed and always carry something in my left pocket in case my right hand becomes unusable for whatever reason. Today is was a Cold Steel Hold Out.

I seem to remember Greg Medford saying he carries in his front left pocket, but for no reason other than to avoid scraping the leather steering wheel of his car.

I carry a knife on each side. Mainly because I like knives and this allows me to have twice as many to play with during the day.

If I'm carrying a gun (gun laws are VERY restrictive here), the knife in my left pocket will be something geared towards SD/gun retention, while the one in my right pocket will be almost purely utility oriented.

When I carry something expensive, fragile or more stylish than useful in my right pocket, I'll add a trusty workhorse on my left side.

I also enjoy carrying two of the same model (sometimes one plain and one serrated), a mini and full size version of the same model, etc.

I used to carry a single folder and a SAK, but now I feel weird if I don't have one on each side.

The only exceptions are when I'm outdoors (I switch to a single medium fixed blade and a SAK) or when I'm going somewhere with metal detectors or possible pat-down (even if legal, two or three knives might get a bit too much attention).

I carry two knives, one in each of my back pockets. Wallet, phone and flashlight carry in the front pockets.

Only my frame lock spyderco military. It's also easy to use left handed even though I'm not.

I do. My phone occupies my front right pocket, always has. As such, even as a righty, I carry my knives in the front left, although still set up for right handed carry. I find tip up right hand clip to be the most comfortable in the hand.

I do however carry fixed blades on the right side.

I do it as well so that I can have my blade against the seem of my pocket for safety

Yes, right-hand dominant carries front-left pocket Ti/G10 RIL-Military for RGEO.

When this one gets carried, it is strictly LFP (yes I'm a rightie).

I started off using knives mostly right handed. When I got the Spyderco Pikal and Emerson Karambit and learned about forward waving I wanted to standardize my forward waving for self defense use. Unforunately all my Emersons were tapped for righty carry only.

So I switched my Pikal to be lefty carry and also carried my Emersons in my left pocket so I could forward wave them. I started carrying most my knives that way and now I am actually used to using knives with my left hand. By switching pockets I actually sort of became ambidextrous with knives.

Still peel apples with my right hand edge towards myself though. I have always written and shot guns left handed. My handedness is all messed up.

Honestly I find that tip down right handed knives are horrible in the LFP because when you take the knife out of your pocket the spine is facing your palm.

My Military (or K2, etc. for that matter, provided it's in standard tip-down orientation) left hand draws naturally from my LFP with the back of the handle facing my palm. A simple pinky-drop deploys the blade into RGEO. Millie carried this way for years ;-)

Shot in the dark huh? ;)
