Any rightys that carry in their left pocket?

I'm another lefty who carries on the right side. This guy rides better in the ruler pocket and it's far easier to whip open right handed for some reason. Still working on cutting with the right hand but it's starting to feel more natural.

Yup, all the time. Often it's my primary blade in left pocket, then occasionally a second in right. Like others, I find myself presenting, then switching to right hand for actual cutting. Also, if carrying a flipper, it needs to be in left pocket or the tab damages phone in the right pocket. So if something is in right, it's a non-flipper.

I started off using knives mostly right handed. When I got the Spyderco Pikal and Emerson Karambit and learned about forward waving I wanted to standardize my forward waving for self defense use. Unforunately all my Emersons were tapped for righty carry only.

So I switched my Pikal to be lefty carry and also carried my Emersons in my left pocket so I could forward wave them. I started carrying most my knives that way and now I am actually used to using knives with my left hand. By switching pockets I actually sort of became ambidextrous with knives.

Still peel apples with my right hand edge towards myself though. I have always written and shot guns left handed. My handedness is all messed up.
Exactly this.

No, not a pocket knife. But I do carry my fixed blade on my left side, backwards, being right-handed. (Kydex sheath in belt)

I'm a lefty and I carry in my right pocket.

I pull the blade with my right hand and then either open it right handed and swith to my left or switch to my left and then open it.

I am wholly left handed and have learned to open and close all of my knives left handed. I simply hate to carry anything in my left front pocket.

Anyone that carries a side arm on their right side (strong side) should always carry their knife on their left (weak side)

I don’t pocket carry I carry either behind hip or in front of hip cross draw but I draw with my left most times. I carry Mostly fixed blades or if a folder in a horizontal sheath

I'm also a lefty and carry/open/and close knives with my right.
I can switch to my left of course, but just learned and got used to it (when it comes to knives) with my right since I was a kid...

I carry a folder in each front pocket, but I'm righty. Sometimes I was grabbing or holding something with my main hand and used the knife in the LFP to do the cutting

I'm a righty, but can use my left pretty well.....had to learn to use tools with both hands.
I carry in both front pockets and find I can open and close most knives easily.......except for a Para 2. Compression lock presents problems for me with my left.
Also, I can never have only one knife on me.

I'm left handed and carry a knife in my right pocket. Only problem with that is after I open the knife with my right hand, I switch to my left hand to use it. I don't trust myself to use a knife right handed

I do the same with edc knives. I use them left handed but carry them in my right pocket. Doing finer cutting left handed feels natural to me, but opening/closing a folder doesn't. On the other hand (pun intended ;)) when I do heavier stuff like chopping or cutting water bottles in the backyard, I use my right hand.

I have my phone in my dominant hand's pocket, and since I am removing that a lot more often than my knife I prefer to have my knife in the other pocket to free up ease of exit for my phone. As a left-hander I still use my right hand for a lot of quick knife work but will switch hands if my left isn't occupied.

I'm naturally right handed but like to train my brain for ambidexterity in things where it's really useful like driving, hockey, batting in baseball, boxing stuff like that but I've found it's best to switch back and forth as you're training otherwise your brain unlearns the original handedness, somethings I've found extremely difficult are throwing things or shooting a basketball as accurately and handwriting

Yes. Left rear pocket has a waved folder for edge out Pikal draw. I carry a large fixed blade on my right side.

Another lefty here that carries a knife in the right front pocket. I do this because I carry a pistol on my left side. I can draw, open/close and use for basic tasks with my right hand. Switch to my left for dexterity type cutting.

I started doing this just for a weak side weapon. It actually has the advantage of me not having to switch pocket clips for lefty use or discount knife options because they are right hand only. Makes closing with liner locks easier too.

I'm a righty who carries knives on both sides, fixed and folder. Folders for small work, fixed for general cutting. I practice cutting with my left hand so that if the situation requires a left handed cutting task, I know I'll be able to HANDle it.:p

My folders are NOT waved or modified for rapid opening. One's a Buck 510 (lockback), the other is a Kabar rigger's knife (slip joint that needs a forklift to open and close. For the "Oh, Shoot, I need to cut something right now last night", well, that's what the primary rapid cutters are for - Kabar shorties (125X).

Anybody can carry on any side or pocket they please. My knife is not for a weapon. That's what the gun is for. The knife is for cutting things, not people.

I carry my primary folder in my right front pocket, and then I carry a waved Karambit reverse grip in my left front. I actually find it to be a quite useful combination. For example, say I want to cut some rope or paracord that I am using as a tie down. I can pull the cord taut with my right hand and wave the Karambit out with my left hand to cut. I used to carry an Emerson Super Karambit, but after a concern with it opening in pocket while carrying it lefty I switched to a Brous Karambit, because it has a strong detent due to being a flipper.

I should note, That I wear Tru-Spec pants, which have designated "knife pockets" on each side directly behind the front pockets. I carry my flashlight (L) and Swisstool (R) in each of those, freeing up my front pockets to carry the blades

FWIW, I also carry a pair of Spyderco Dragonfly(s) clipped in the corners of my back pockets. They're so small that they practically disappear until needed
