Any Rockstead knife long term owners

I bought the ironwood. This is my highest priced knife so I may have some doubts about using it right away. I think I eventually will have to so I can get that awe feeling.

If you were not in awe after opening that little wooden box it came in, I doubt that you will appreciate it more by using it.

IMO, they are not like a Sebenza where the real beauty is it's function.

I've had time over the last few days to hold it and admire it. I think it's a very nice knife but it's like owning a Ferrari in a rural area. I worked on a construction site a few years ago and this set up with the pouch would be ideal. Unfortunately I've encountered two sheepish moments, one with my small sebenza and another with my Mnandi. It would be hard to justify carrying a pouched knife into a bank or other establishments unless you have it covered up. It's not ideal for a fishing environment and fine for camping but not hunting due to the company's recommendations. I think Rockstead look solid and well made and they are attractive knives. A Chou or a titanium clip Rockstead would maybe have been more ideal. I'm still admiring this knife, Higo with ironwood handles, but i can perhaps see it carried concealed in a front pocket around regular non BF members. I read up on the longer thread and one question I had was if you are the original owner but never register the knife is the warranty still valid if it's traded or sold new? I'm not considering selling it at the moment because I'm still looking at perhaps using it the longer I hold it, but just in case.

You are overthinking this way too much. It's a knife, buddy, not a Ferrari. You either like it or you don't, nothing wrong that. You'll either use it or you won't, nothing wrong with that either.

I carry mine on my belt all the time, in banks, in daycares, and to a nice restaurant tonight. Never had a problem, your choice though. I doubt anyone will ask about it...

Regarding the warranty, I don't know. I think this was asked in the other thread somewhere, but I can't remember.
