My employer is flying me to Miami for a few weeks tomorrow. Does anyone here know of any shops in the general Miami area?

there are some LGS, like Johnson Firearms on N. Miami Ave, that have knives, but I really don't know of a real, dedicated knife shop in the S. Fla area. There was one at Dolphin Mall awhile back, but I don't think it's there any more, and frankly, it had nothing but junk anyway.

I couldn't find any when I was in Miami a few months ago. I've learned Google sucks thou for providing knife shop results. I've by chance stumbled upon several great shops around the country that didn't exist according to Google. I opened a thread awhile back asking for knife shop locations around the country and got a few great spots. However I don't recall anyone mentioning any in Fl.

I'm fairly familiar with the Miami Dade area having family there and don't know of any dedicated knife stores in the area.

I will note, however, that Dade County has local knife laws stricter than Florida state laws. They have an outright ban on auto possession whereas state law (arguably) allows CWFL holders to carry autos.

Hollow Grind is in Miami. Not sure of a store front, but I dealt with them in February. Great guy, great service.

Miami is very gun/knife unfriendly compared to the rest of the state. So options are limited. Pretty sure Dave at hollow grind will let you see his wares but no storefront last i asked. Hope you studied up on your spanish.

Lastly this should be in gb&u. ..welcome to the state have fun spend lots of money and be safe. You are in miami.;)

Feel free to give me a call. No storefront but am more than happy to make a trip or you can stop by. Everything on the website that says is in stock is actually available to look at.
I don't advise carrying anything in Dade County that is more than 3 inches and definitely not an auto.

blade art is in Miami. They are a custom knife dealer with a killer selection. Search for them on google.

So how does the Serene Republic of Miami-Dade get around the Florida Statutes that say that weapons law is the exclusive provence of the State of Florida? Those laws were written specifically to eliminate county and city ordinances like the old extended "optional" waiting periods for firearms purchases.

That law only covers specifically firearms...not knives or other weapons. Major oversight they left in on the legislation. It is what it is. I expect knife rights will eventually get that issue fixed one day.
