Any suggestions? creating a collection of best $50 edc

Starting a new collection….need 6 knives….Theme….My Personal choice ….Best EDC Folder/Flipper for around $50 bucks

Criteria, must have blade 3” or over,
D2 or better steel…NO 8cr13 or Aus8 ( not bad mouthing these steels, just want some variation)
Cannot be made in USA ,,,but can be a USA Brand ( this is for my Foreign made knife collection)
Folder or Flipper ( no pocket knives or Traditionals)
No repeats of same brand ( so no civivi or Ontario)

Have 2 already

Civivi Praxis
Ontario Ultiltrac

open to recommendations

True. Maybe raise your price to $75, than you can include the Polestar in BD1 :)

it really just matters where you look. You can find great deals on all sorts of blades. My favorite in your price range would be my old Ontario RAT 1A. I’m not sure what they sell for today. But you can find a comparable. Especially if you go on base or have someone who can.
 
Two Sun has some really good options here. All of these folders were about $50 new.

Steel Will Modus d2 Sheepsfoot. $45 bucks. JUST BOUGHT THIS ON AMAZON TODAY…liked blade shape, cool colors,,and I have a steel will intrigue 45 which Love, so Give this modus a shot

The Ruike p801 is the one I recommend
I have the black wash version for a while and I am not disapointed

the QSP Penguin seems to be great too

the Kershaw Atmos is a great flipper at its price point

I have also enjoyed some CQC from Kershaw and IMO they are good to go

If you re letting the AUS 8 with the Utilitac slide, the consider letting the rule about repeat knives from the Sams company slide, at least with the Rat1 d2. You may well find you like it better, and sell the Utilitac.
 
At this price point (and given all of your criteria), I've enjoyed the QSP Penguin, CIVIVI Exarch (or Chronic, if you don't like front flippers), Ruike Fang, and Real Steel Metamorph (KnifeCenter has them for $40 right now).

You might also peek at the CJRB Kicker, which sneaks a rather unique locking mechanism into your collection.
 
From what I've seen so far, there are so very many excellent choices, that narrowing down the field will be next to impossible,
and will only please a few people. Good luck...
So far, you have about 20 good choices...
