The Byrd line of knives are a great value , mind you they are made in China but , the blade steel is good and the quality is outstanding.
Also cannot say enough good things about the Native , I just bought mine about a month ago and am very , very pleased with it. The blade steel S30V is very good , mine was shaving sharp out of the box , though I had to take the first one back and exchange it because the fit and finish was sort of sloppy , that's the chance you take with some production knives. The replacement knife is fantastic though , the lockup is solid and no play , outstanding knife for $40.
